Wood Clamp Information

Woodworking Clamp Information:  Like most tools, clamps come in numerous prices, styles and sizes; choosing the one that suits your needs is a major factor.  Specs to be considered:

  • Holding two pieces of wood together to be screwed requires a clamp like Quick-Grip
  • A corner clamp is required for joining box edges i.e. butt/Lap joints, mitered joints, dovetail joints, tongue and groove, dado joints
  • A pipe clamp for joining biscuit-jointed boards, Mortise and Tenon, doll rod joints used in fine furniture.
  • The clamp of choice can be determined by the amount of wood to be clamped together.
